Linde’s National Training Center (NTC) is a state-of- the-art, 5,000-square foot facility located in Butler, PA. It is used to train employees, customers and distributors in the safe handling and proper usage of industrial gases and their applications.
As a leader in occupational safety in the industry, Linde realizes that training for its employees, customers and distributors is critical for its success. It established the NTC in 1989 to intensify its occupational training programs. More than 2,000 people have attended classes or demonstrations conducted by the NTC staff.
The influx of new technology and applications in the industry demands that training be constantly revised to reflect up-to-date standards. The full range of programs offered by the NTC are reviewed and updated regularly. Safety is an important part of training at the NTC. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), regulations are addressed and followed. The center also reviews service practices and first aid.
Jim Gabster - the National Senior Training Manager at the NTC, with over 29 years experience in the industrial gases business. For 3 years, he was the Senior Instructor at the NTC. He was the Regional Service Manager for the mid-west for 6 years. Prior to being the Regional Service Manager, he had extensive experience in compressed, cryogenic gases and flammable gases. This knowledge is used to train CES Technician, Sales Personnel, Distributors, Engineers, and Productions Personnel from all over the world.
Dale Parks was recently named the National Training Manager at the NTC, with over 19 years experience in the industrial gases business. He was with CES Service for the Linde Southern Region for 7 years. Prior to being the Regional Service Manager, he had extensive experience in Sales & Service of compressed, flammable and Cryogenic gases. This knowledge is used to train CES Technician, Engineers, and Productions Personnel from all over the world.
All of the courses at the National Training Center have a pre and post course test to help the attendees determine their level of learning needs as well as their increase in awareness upon completion. With the completion of all of the courses offered at the NTC, participants receive a certificate of attendance.
Linde offers on-site training at the National Training Center or at field location customer sites. In addition to offering classes to our employees, we also offer classes to our customers at a nominal fee.
